Today is Gabriel's birthday!

Hello everybody,
I just want to write to the world how Gabriel Ortiz was born because it was so exciting!
While my ex-wife was about to give birth, she was not supposed to give birth until probably a couple more weeks, but we were warned that usually later children are born a little earlier than the first ones. So I suggested Adriana for us to wait in El Paso until the child is born because we were expecting Gabriel to come a little earlier than we anticipate; well, it turned out that we were going to go to El Paso to wait for him to be born the very next day after he was born!
So there we were, Adriana about to give birth, in some serious pain, in the middle of the summer, in the long line to go to El Paso (because we had already paid and planned everything for our third kid to be born in El Paso as well). She was trembling while she was showing the ID card to the officer when we went through.
After we went across, she said, "I need to push, the baby's coming", so I said "well push then!". She took off her pants, I hit the gas as hard as I could; I remember we got up to 95 MPH and driving on the left-hand side shoulder because there was traffic on the highway; but she kept on pushing, and Gabriel just came out!
She caught him by the feet to prevent him from falling on the floorboard in the car and we just grabbed whatever we had to protect him from the wind coming in through the windows. This car did not have A/C, so we rolled down the windows to keep our temperatures, and at 80 to 95 MPH, the wind gets really fast and loud!
Not too much longer, a cop was driving right beside us, flashing his badge. I wish I could see that cop again to thank him again for helping us! We showed him the baby and he signaled us to follow him.
Gabriel was already born, so we couldn't go back to the midwives, they would not take care of Adriana and the baby if the baby wasn't born in their care.
So we followed the cop to the hospital. All the nurses were so excited to see the baby. Seems like they had not seen anything dramatic in the ER in a very long time because they were rushing and smiling at us.
Everybody helped us so much at the Thomason hospital and Gabriel was healthy and looking great!
I was very scared because babies can catch diseases from the air or from contact with things, but he was just fine.
He grew up to be the healthy, good-looking boy he is now and I remember the day he was born like if it was yesterday!
Happy Birthday Gabriel, I will miss you until we meet again!
Your Dad, Elizac Ortiz
